Hand Poured Soy Wax Candles
100% Soy wax candles for clean and safe burning! Every candle is hand poured and made in small batches to retain the quality of product! Using with a safe phthalate-free fragrance oil, these candles are sure to have enough aroma without being overpowering. Lower burning/melting temperature allows for a safer candle burning experience. Our wicks are soy wax coated. Cleanup is easy with warm soapy water; this is nice if you wanted to repurpose your jars of if you happen to have a spill.
Driftless Area of Northwest Illinois
The Driftless Area, also known as The Driftless Region, is a topographical and cultural region in the midwestern United States that comprises southwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, northeastern Iowa, and the extreme northwestern corner of Illinois. Never covered by ice during the last ice age, the area lacks the characteristic glacial deposits known as drift. Its landscape is characterized by steep hills, forested ridges, deeply carved river valleys, and karst geology with spring-fed waterfalls and cold-water trout streams. The steep riverine landscape of both the Driftless Area proper and the surrounding Driftless-like region are the result of early glacial advances that forced preglacial rivers that flowed into the Great Lakes southward, causing them to carve a gorge across bedrock thereby forming the modern incised upper Mississippi river valley. This region has elevations ranging from 603 to 1,719 feet, and together with the Driftless-like region, covers 24,000 square miles.

Bastian Candle works started out in 2020 as simple wedding favors and quickly became a dream for the newlyweds to take into their marriage.
Peggy is Preston, IA native and an Iowa State University Alumni with a degree in Horticulture. In her free time, you can find her wandering around a garden center or digging through an antique store looking for new treasures.
Ryan is a Hanover, IL native and an experienced carpenter; with 15+ years on hands on experience in the construction and remodeling industry. In his free time, you can find him tinkering around the house he is always building and creating new things.
Together the couple enjoy spending time with their dog Ellie and traveling and seeing new places.
